CS S355 J2+N Plates is frequently used in the chemical, culinary, paper, mining, medicinal, and petrochemical sectors, and it is also well adapted for fabricated or formed uses. Its oxyacetylene welding technique is not favoured. It is used in paper and pulp machinery, food preparation, pharmaceutical and petrochemical production, and other applications. To minimise its propensity to work harden, it needs modest speeds and consistent feeds. It is non-magnetic when heated but may become mildly magnetic during welding. Because of its low carbon concentration, it resists sensitization when welded and has greater creep, stress to rupture, and tensile strength at high temps.

S355 J2+N Carbon Steel Sheets and Plates offers sensitization protection during welding and other thermal operations. However, some processes involve extreme working circumstances that necessitate even better performance characteristics than those provided by these steels. They are also more immune to air and other minor corrosion than other metals. It is stronger than other metals with a lengthy stringy chip, so chip breakers should be used.
