Stainless Steel 304 Round Bars Heat Treatment
- Solution Annealing: – Heat to 815-845°C, then cool slowly in the furnace to 600°C before air cooling for 12 hours per 25mm of thickness. When the temperature is gradually reduced from 540°C to 400°C, brittleness develops.
- Sub-Critical anneal: – heat to 760-815°C then cool by air or water.
- This grade would not be formed by thermal treatment.
