Hastelloy Alloy C276 RTJ Gasket has greater creep and stress rupture qualities and can withstand oxidation up to 1500°F.This steel's creates an insoluble and stable carbide, which binds up all of the carbon in the alloy and prevents it from precipitating as chromium carbides.This steel is altered by adding titanium in an amount at least five times that of the carbon and nitrogen concentrations. It is designed to combine high strength, scaling resistance, and phase stability with resistance to subsequent aqueous corrosion. It has a high strength and resistance to corrosion, particularly corrosion from aquatic settings.
Because this Hastelloy RTJ Gasket does not require preheating, it has good low temperature toughness.
